AdvisorShares Active ETF Market Share Update – Week Ending 1/3/14

The active ETF market experienced a slight downtick during the shortened New Year’s week, with total net assets exceeding $14.7 billion. The Global Bond category, led by the PIMCO’s  Total Return ETF and Global Advantage Inflation-Linked Bond Strategy, had the highest weekly decrease in net assets by about $62 million. Net assets in the Alternative category decreased by almost $28 million, which included the AdvisorShares Ranger Equity Bear ETF. The Currency category also experienced a significant decrease in net assets by almost $14 million, which was led by the WisdomTree Dreyfus Brazilian Real Fund. State Street and WisdomTree each had close to a $20 million decrease in net assets which both were attributed mainly to decline in market value.
