AdvisorShares Active ETF Market Share Update – Week Ending 7/11/2014
The active ETF market trended higher last week by approximately $100 million for a 60 basis point gain as total net assets sit at $16.4 billion. PowerShares and iShares showed the largest sponsor increase last week with a $53 million and $18 million spikes, respectively. PIMCO continued to trend slightly downward finishing the week with a $6 million decrease in assets. The Alternative category grew by $59 million which included a new launch from AdvisorShares and pushed the total number of active ETFs to 90. The Foreign Bond category, led by WisdomTree, had an increase of $28 million from the previous week. The Currency category had the most outflows with a $14 million drop primarily attributed to WisdomTree.
